What am I trying to accomplish with this page? Absolutely nothing. I'm just stalling because I'm definitely not ready to be releasing Generation Four yet. At this rate, I might actually finish this chapter as I originally intended. Anyway, I misjudged the width of the page while drawing, so that's why there's so much blank space on both sides of the page.
On a different subject, I took the time to write out a rough draft of the Gen4 description: In a war of genetic superiority between Angels and Lambs, a confused young man is confronted by a little girl claiming to be God. Stripped of his past lives and memories, he is forced by the relentless wheels of destiny into an ancient love triangle between Adam, Eve, and God.
Does it sound exciting? Engaging? Well, it seems a little off and awkwardly elongated to me...so I'm probably going to have to play around with it some more. Plus the wording isn't entirely accurate; I mean, it wasn't really a war of genetic superiority since the Angels are superior in most respects. And specifically referring to the love triangle seems misleading since the graphic novel isn't exactly a romance...
One thing I am debating about is whether to call Haruko a boy, teenager, or man (in the end, I chose 'young man' to be ambiguous). To me, every character in the ROL crew is ageless; this is the only factor I consider: Keiko is the youngest, Torio is the oldest, and everyone else is placed somewhere in the middle. I suppose if I had to put a concrete age on Haruko...it'd be in the early twenties? Maybe even a tad younger since he doesn't seem to be that mature/experienced and his body's proportions are typically shorter than that of an adult.
I don't know...what ages do you consider the ROL characters to be?
