Well. I've certainly gotten myself into a fine mess. Due to circumstances I'd prefer not to mention (so don't ask), I am temporarily homeless right now. Actually, I have a car in which I've been sleeping in, but I'm still without a place to stay at for the time being. At first, I was a little worried about suddenly leaving my comfy home like that, but now it's evolved into a soul-searching trip. Or at least that's how I like to consider it, because being homeless doesn't sound quite as pleasant. *laughs out loud miserably*
Anyway, I'm trying to see how long I can live off of a hundred dollars and a car with slightly more than half a tank of gas without assistance from other people (because I really don't want people seeing me like this XD). Some stuff I've recently obtained: a toothbrush, deodorant, (almost) three sets of clothing, three water bottles, a towel, and half a bottle of Listerine. For the time being, I figured this is all I need. I'm living off of water fountains (by refilling the water bottles), which I use to quench my thirst, brush my teeth, wash my face, and other general things. I go to a gym's locker room to shower at night, and I go to the library to use the internet and type up this update. Nevertheless, I'm doing rather decent.
Nights on the other hand are a drag, because I have a sedan and it is very uncomfortable to sleep in. Last night for example...I tried to sleep in the backseat, but ended up laying there for an hour or two...then I inclined the driver's seat and tried to sleep there for another few hours...then went back to the backseat when I finally fell asleep for four hours and woke up with a terrible headache from being scrunched up in that awkward position. Also, I happen to be in Arizona right now...so the nights are really really hot and uncomfortable. My body was covered in sweat all night and I woke up all sticky. And then there's the deal where I had to leave the windows slightly open or else I'd suffocate in my sleep (literally). This isn't that big of a deal except that it attracted a lot of bugs (mosquitoes?) that took the liberty to suck my blood throughout the night.
But truth be told, I'm actually pretty lucky. I mean, if I were in this same situation in another country, I may not make it too long (before I'm forced to start withdrawing money from my savings XD). Fortunately, around here there's plenty of free water from water fountains that aren't contaminated with God knows what. Actually, from what I understand, a human can live for over a week on water alone...perhaps I should put this claim to the test? lol...
So what exactly do I do in my free time without a television, desktop computer, or anything? I explore the local towns. Not the city I live in...but instead some of the other nearby towns on the outskirts of metropolitan Phoenix. It's a rare opportunity for me to go to these places I would otherwise never visit due to the fact that there's literally NOTHING THERE. Imagine the old American Western films with cowboys and stuff. That's how Arizona is outside of the major cities: bunch of cacti, rocks, and sand. Hollywood didn't exaggerate the barrenness of the Arizona deserts -_-
Some of you may be wondering how I'm still updating when I don't have my laptop on me anymore. Well, I just happen to have a usb stick with a few pages on it and the library's computers luckily support usb drivers. Heh, I'm a homeless dude living in a car...with a usb flash drive... ^_^ Eh, I hope I'm not giving anyone the wrong impression here. I'm actually pretty well off financially...I just want to see how long I can last without using money from my bank account. I mean, I wasn't kicked out of my house because I was in debt or lost my property gambling or anything drastic like that. I mean, technically I can pull out some money and get a place to stay at temporarily...but then it wouldn't really feel as meaningful. I mean, it's not really soul-searching if I waste away hard-earned money on nice restaurant food and a place to stay at. Yes, I'm still clinging onto the
Anyway, I'm let myself write a longer entry today since I'm just killing time at the library. But then I realized I'm forcing you people to read a longer entry, and so I'm just going to cut it short. Bye! Sorry for taking up so much of your time if you read this entire entry top to bottom.
