ORIGINAL NEWS ENTRY:
Welcome to the second ROL comic update of the week. I'm not going to lie: despite the simple look of this page, I honestly had a hard time making it. Reason being? Well, the stupid magic circle on the bottom half of the page. When I first decided to use a “magic circle” or whatever they may be called, I was thinking I would easily find an image of one on the Internet. Well, it turned out more difficult than I originally thought. Upon searching the web for who knows how long...I finally found one by Fullmetal Alchemist. They based their dimensions by triangles...so in order to make mine somewhat unique, I based my circle by squares. I thought that it'd be pretty easy with a sample to look at, but it turned out rather difficult. I literally spent hours making circles with my compass and trying to fill the insides until I could pull out what you saw in today's ROL comic. HOURS. But I guess in the end, it was worth it because it looks pretty nice. And using pencil turned out to have a better effect than I thought it would. Makes it look a bit grainy and makes it glow a bit ^_^
As for the actual script itself...yes, not much is happening here. The speaker is telling the group of new recruits that the purpose of the organization lies somewhere in an old fairy tale. Which tale I chose to write about will be revealed on Friday. And it's not necessarily a true tale. I made it up myself. Or rather, I took a very old story and twisted it to my liking. A part of my is scared because I can already tell that a certain group of people will not be very happy with what I'm going to do to their story. In fact, I'm pretty much committing blasphemy.
